49 Winchester

49 Winchester is a Virginia band formed by childhood friends Isaac Gibson and Chase Chafin in Castlewood. The group’s sound is rooted in Appalachian storytelling and blends country, rock and folk into a road-tested style developed from front-porch jams and years of touring. Their current lineup includes Gibson, Chafin, Bus Shelton, Noah Patrick, Tim Hall and Justin Louthian. The band’s latest album, Change of Plans, was recorded in eight days with producer Dave Cobb and reflects on change, maturity and perseverance while expanding the group’s dynamic range. Earlier records, including Fortune Favors the Bold, established 49 Winchester as a leading modern Appalachian country act.
