Charles Wesley Godwin

West Virginia singer-songwriter Charles Wesley Godwin writes intimate, deeply felt songs shaped by place, family, mortality, faith, and the work of rebuilding after loss. His albums Seneca, How the Mighty Fall, and Family Ties each trace a different part of that personal landscape. On his fourth full-length album, Christian Name, Godwin turns toward mourning, healing, and a renewed faith, creating a candid 12-song record informed by a period of profound personal grief. His work is grounded in consistent songwriting, a strong sense of West Virginia identity, and a commitment to telling the truth of his own life.
