OFFICIAL BIO
Kyle Nix is an Oklahoma singer-songwriter, fiddler and longtime member of Turnpike Troubadours. Raised in Perry, Oklahoma, he began on fiddle with lessons and bluegrass festivals before joining the Troubadours in their formative years around Stillwater. His solo debut, Lightning on the Mountain & Other Short Stories, brings his writing and singing to the foreground through a western-inspired collection of autobiographical songs and character stories. Recorded with members of Turnpike Troubadours and produced with Wes Sharon, the album combines country drive, cinematic detail and Nix’s storytelling instincts.
