OFFICIAL BIO
The Avett Brothers are a North Carolina-rooted band led by brothers Scott and Seth Avett, whose music moves freely among folk, bluegrass, rock, country, and American roots traditions. Beginning with early guitar- and banjo-based songs and a determined independent touring life, the brothers built a full-band sound with longtime collaborators including Bob Crawford, Joe Kwon, Mike Marsh, and Tania Elizabeth. Their songs explore the tragic, joyful, and endlessly ordinary parts of being human with warmth, humor, harmony, and restless musical curiosity.
