The Panhandlers

The Panhandlers are a West Texas country supergroup made up of Josh Abbott, John Baumann, William Clark Green and Flatland Cavalry’s Cleto Cordero. Each member is an established songwriter and frontman in his own right; together, they make regionally rooted country music shaped by the landscapes, characters and rural life of West Texas. Their self-titled debut began as an idea for a West Texas covers collection, then became an original album born from a writing session in Marfa and recorded live to analog tape with producer Bruce Robison. The group’s sound combines sharp storytelling, country instrumentation and rough-edged harmonies in a modern tribute to the region’s musical tradition.
