Larry Joe Taylor’s Rhymes & Vines Festival Returns for 20th Year

Larry Joe Taylor's Rhymes & Vines Festival

Twenty years is a long time to keep something real. But somehow, Larry Joe Taylor’s Rhymes & Vines hasn’t lost its heartbeat.

The festival returns to Melody Mountain Ranch in Stephenville from September 17–20, 2025, bringing the same songwriter-driven spirit that made it a staple in the Texas music world.

Two-Decade Tradition

Rhymes & Vines has become a fixture in the Texas scene for a reason. It’s not flashy. It’s not trying to be the next big thing. It just is what it is: a weekend rooted in good songs, better people, and a setting that feels like home.

The festival combines established names and rising talent, letting the music speak for itself. And yeah, it’s also home to the now-legendary jalapeño popper cook-off.

Built by Artists, Run by Artists, Loved by Fans

Larry Joe Taylor’s name carries weight in the Texas scene. The lineups at every event he touches feel like they were booked by someone who’s been on the road. Someone who still believes in the power of a song and a good story.

These aren’t industry-approved acts. They’re artists who’ve put in the miles, found their people, and live out their songs.

Campground Culture: The Other Half of the Show

One of the best parts of Rhymes & Vines? What happens after the stage lights go out. The campsites come alive with song swaps, cold beers, and jam sessions that don’t need a wristband or a setlist.

If you’ve never wandered through Melody Mountain late at night and stumbled onto a group of strangers playing Guy Clark under the stars… you’re missing half the festival. That after-hours magic is where friendships are made and memories stick.

Why Should You Go?

Rhymes & Vines is the music festival for the people who don’t just want a show… they want to feel something. The kind who believe the songwriter matters as much as the song. The ones who show up for the opener, not just the headliner.

Lineup is not announced yet, but tickets and campsites are on sale now: store.larryjoetaylor.com

Here’s to another 20 years of Texas tunes, jalapeño poppers, and the next wave of storytellers finding their stage.
