There’s something about a stripped-down live session that hits harder than the studio version ever could. Cam Allen proves that with “Feelin’ Again,” filmed live at Love & War in Plano, TX as part of the Southbound Sessions series.
I’ve known Cam for a few years now...from booking him back when I was running shows, to watching him share the stage with Keaton Adams, one of the artists on our roster at Underdog Artist Group. He’s the real deal... a workhorse of a songwriter with just the right blend of Texas grit and vulnerability.

This live cut feels honest. No fluff, no frills. Just Cam, a guitar, and the kind of delivery that makes you stop what you’re doing and listen.
The video was shot by my friend Matt Green, who runs Southbound Sessions and continues to put out some of the best-shot live content in the Texas scene. If you’re not following that channel yet, you’re missing out on a goldmine of raw, real performances.
About Southbound Sessions
Southbound Sessions is a Texas-based video series spotlighting real artists in real moments. Shot by Matt Green, each session captures the heart of the song without the overproduction that so many live videos lean into. It’s just music, the way it should be.
Why It Matters
Cam’s part of the next wave of Texas artists who aren’t waiting on permission. He’s putting in the work, building fans one show at a time, and showing up with consistency and heart. Performances like this are why we created BandSyde in the first place... to shine a light on artists doing it right, even if they’re still flying under the mainstream radar.
